The NSW Association of Fire Investigators hereby notifies all members in accordance with the Association Constitution of the Annual General Meeting (AGM), being held on the 6th of August, at 1700hrs at the University of NSW, Dalton Building F12 University Mall, Kensington NSW 2033 - in the Chemistry Seminar Room - G05 (on the ground floor). Following the AGM, an education evening will be held in the same facility.
There are some positions that still require filling, so please consider putting your hand up to assist.

This will be followed by a guided laboratory tour, featuring demonstrations, discussion of current experiments, and insights into cutting-edge battery research. Subject to equipment availability and laboratory operations on the day, attendees may also have the opportunity to make their own lithium-ion battery.

About Professor Sharma
Professor Neeraj Sharma is a leading Australian materials chemist and battery researcher at UNSW Sydney. Following completion of his PhD at the University of Sydney, he undertook postdoctoral research at the Bragg Institute, ANSTO, before joining UNSW through prestigious AINSE, ARC DECRA and ARC Future Fellowships.
His award-winning research focuses on solid-state chemistry, the development of advanced materials, and understanding how material structure influences performance. His work spans the entire battery value chain, from ore processing and battery materials to manufacturing, safety and recycling. A highly collaborative researcher, Professor Sharma works with industry and academic partners worldwide and provides specialist consulting through Unisearch. He is also Co-Founder and Director of the Australian Battery Society, a not-for-profit organisation connecting Australia's battery community.
